The first Bring it On was released in 2000, and since then the cheerleading franchise has grown to five different movies. Here is my ranking of the Bring it On movies:
1. Bring it On (2000)
Bring it On (2000) is the original, and thus sets the standard for the rest of the movies. Kirsten Dunst is killer as Torrance and Gabrielle Union is a great opponent for her team. Bring it On also brings a bunch of tv quotes that everybody knows, for example this scene in Fired Up!
2. Bring it On: All or Nothing (2006)
Bring it On: All or Nothing (2006) was beat out by a slim margin as my favourite (only really because it’s the original and deserves top spot). Who doesn’t love Hayden Panettiere? I also really like that the new crush for Hayden’s character is a little bit different from the normal hot guy (much like the original Bring it On to be honest).
Also starring Rihanna – giving me flashbacks of Pon De Replay.
3. Bring it On: In It to Win It (2007)
Bring it On: In It to Win It (2007) is on par with All or Nothing, but is a different pace for the franchise. This one seems to be a bit more commercial but I really like the rivalry turned team dilemma. I would just like to point out how ridiculous ‘the East-West Coast Shets’ is. But I love Carson and Penn, cute.
I also get excited watching this film as I have been to Universal Studios in Orlando – it is hard not to get a kick out of seeing a place you have traveled to.
4. Bring it On Again (2004)
Bring it On Again (2004) came second in the Bring it On movies. The reason that this film takes second last place is because of those god awful black cheerleading outfits they wear at the end. Also, the plausibility that a bunch of misfits like in the film to be better than a trained team is highly unlikely.
5. Bring it On: Fight to the Finish (2009)
Bring it On: Fight to the Finish (2009) is the latest one to be released, and my least favourite of the franchise. I think they were just making this film for the sake of it and slapping a Bring it On title, just to raise some coin. As there is always a diversity argument in anything these days, I think they decided a Latino twist could satisfy that – however, it was done poorly which is such a shame. Cody Longo who plays the lead’s crush is super gorgeous *swoon*
